Red Hat erweitert OpenShift Marketplace um integrierte Abrechnungsfunktionen

Red Hat, der weltweit führende Anbieter von Open-Source-Lösungen, hat seinen OpenShift Marketplace weiter ausgebaut. Der Marktplatz ist eine zentrale Anlaufstelle, bei der Unternehmen aller Größen Lösungen für ihre Cloud-Applikationen finden. Mit den neu hinzugekommenen Abrechnungsfunktionen können Kunden ergänzende Softwarelösungen jetzt noch einfacher einkaufen. Red Hat verwirklicht damit seine Vision des OpenShift Marketplace als Komplettlösung aus einer Hand. Darüber hinaus konnte Red Hat weitere Partner als OpenShift-Aktivisten gewinnen und kann Entwicklern damit eine noch umfangreichere Lösungsauswahl anbieten

Im April 2014 hat Red Hat seinen OpenShift Marketplace eröffnet. Unternehmen, die Red Hat OpenShift Online nutzen, erhalten über den OpenShift Marketplace Zugang zu Partnern von Red Hats OpenShift Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). Ohne dass sie sich aufwändig um eine technologische Integration der Lösungen kümmern müssen, profitieren sie dabei von den Vorteilen der komplementären und für die Public Cloud entwickelten Applikationen, die optimal auf die Enterprise-PaaS-Lösung von Red Hat abgestimmt sind. Kunden können in Form des OpenShift Marketplace an einem zentralen und sicheren Ort auf die aktuellsten OpenShift-Applikationstechnologien zugreifen. Für Entwickler und deren Kunden steht hier eine breite Auswahl leistungsfähiger OpenShift-Lösungen bereit, darunter Applikationen aus den Bereichen Datenbanken, E-Mail, Messaging Queues sowie Application Performance Monitoring, die alle zuverlässig an einem einzigen Ort verwaltet werden.

Während die Zahl der OpenShift-Online-Applikationen weiter wächst und kürzlich die Zwei-Millionen-Marke überschritt, hat Red Hat gleichzeitig die Erweiterung des OpenShift Marketplace dazu genutzt, dessen Verwendung für Partner und Kunden noch effizienter zu gestalten. Benutzer können sich mit ihrem Login von Red Hat auf dem OpenShift Marketplace anmelden, komfortabel eine Vielzahl von Add-on Services finden und diese mit ihrem Red Hat Account kaufen.

Der OpenShift Marketplace bietet Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ISVs eine ideale Plattform, um Kunden und Entwickler an einem einfach zugänglichen, interaktiven Ort zu erreichen, ihre Lösungen zu präsentieren und Unternehmen den Zugriff auf eine Vielzahl der Produkte führender Cloud-Anbieter zu ermöglichen. Kunden und Partner können ihre Profile jetzt selbstständig verwalten, mehrere Editionen ihrer Angebote listen und ihre Services in OpenShift-Applikationen einbinden. Dazu stehen ihnen die Funktionalitäten bereits aktiver und neuer OpenShift-Marketplace-Mitglieder zur Verfügung:

  • BlazeMeter bietet Performance- und Load-Tests als Self-Service-Plattform für mobile und Webapplikationen sowie APIs

  • DreamFactory ermöglicht Entwicklern, die von ihnen bevorzugte Plattform für die Erstellung von Smartphone-, Tablet- oder Desktop-Applikation zu verwenden
     
  • LoadImpact bietet DevOps-Tests für eine automatisierte, bedarfsorientierte Ermittlung der Applikationsperformance
     
  • New Relic ist ein Software-Analytics-Anbieter, der auf SaaS-Lösungen für die Schnittstellen zwischen Web- und nativen mobilen Applikationen spezialisiert ist
     
  • PubNub ermöglicht Real-Time-Applikationen die weltweite Skalierbarkeit in einer Cloud-Infrastruktur
